Procedure - PAT Testing
Preliminary Visual Inspection
Visually checking the electrical appliances for safety. Looking for signs of damage to the plug, fuse, wiring, cable and protective case of the appliance.
PAT Testing
Electrical safety testing as defined by the code of practice for the in-service inspection & testing of electrical equipment and is in accordance with HSE guidelines. This sequence of tests is used to establish the electrical safety of an appliance.
Functional Check
Finally we check the appliance is working correctly and is not showing any signs of mechanical malfunction.
